When you get in trouble, sometimes you have to pay the price.

Bellator MMA announced today that middleweight Maiquel Falcao and welterweight Paul Daley have been released from the organization. BetweenTheRopes.com was able to confirm the releases from Bellator MMA.

Falcao was 3-1 in Bellator MMA winning the season six middleweight tournament, but lost to Alexander Shlemenko in a fight for the vacant title. The Brazilian was released due to when him and Kaue Mena when a surveillance video allegedly showed Falcao slapping a woman at a gas station, which then led Mena getting attacked by several men and ended up being in a coma.

Falcao was also released from his fight team, Renovacao Fight Team in Brazil.

Daley appeared only one time in Bellator MMA when he defeated Rudy Bears by knockout in the first round during season eight. Bellator stated the reason Daley was released due to his conviction of assaulting and obstructing a police officer in December while he was in the United Kingdom.
