WWE Summerslam Preliminary Buyrate Down From Last Year

The WWE announced in their monthly business report that this year’s WWE Summerslam preliminary buyrate has done 298,000 buys. That number is down 17% from when the show did 358,000 buys.

This year’s Summerslam was headlined by John Cena defending the WWE title against Daniel Bryan, while last year’s card was headlined by Brock Lesnar battling Triple H.

The preliminary buyrate breaks down to 186,000 buys in North America and 112,000 buys internationally.

The official numbers for Summerslam will be announced when the WWE releases their third quarter earnings later on in the year.
