UFC To Run 35 Events in 2014, Three Events Announced

2013 still has a little more than two months left, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning for 2014. UFC President Dana White announced last night on Fox Sports Live that the UFC will be running 35 events in 2014, up two events from the 33 that will be run this year. White also announced three events that will be taking place in early 2014.

UFC on Fox 10 will be taking place on Saturday, January 25 from the United Center in Chicago. This will be the third straight year the UFC does a Fox show in Chicago in January. White also announced UFC 169 will take place on Saturday, February 1 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. This card will coincide with the Super Bowl taking place the next day in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The final event announced by White was that UFC 170 be taking place on Saturday, February 22 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

No fights were announced for the three announced cards.

White also stated that there will be 14 cards on FOX Sports 1 including two Ultimate Fighter Finales, 13 on pay-per-view, and four apiece on the FOX network and FOX Sports 2.
