Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Injured, Out Of Bout With Alexander Gustafsson

Only after being announced a week ago, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is injured and out of his main event fight against Alexander Gustafsson on a March 8 event in London.

BetweenTheRopes.com reported on Sunday that the fight was supposed to headline the first event of the UFC’s first European tour initiative in 2014. It was reported by MMAFighting.com that Nogueira hasn’t fully recovered from a back injury and wouldn’t be healthy enough to compete.

Nogueira hasn’t only fought two times in the last 23 months, hasn’t competed since February of this year at UFC 156 when he upset Rashad Evans. A return date for Nogueira is unknown at this time.

No replacement has been announced yet for Gustafsson.
