The John Cena effect lasted all of one week for WWE Monday Night Raw ratings. The final rating for Raw was a 2.75 with an average of 3.89 million viewers. That is down from last week when the rating was a 2.98 with an average of 4.15 million viewers.
The wrestling world was giving Cena a lot of credit last week for the higher rating for Raw due to his return to the show, but this week’s show has been critically panned across the board.
The first hour averaged 4.069 million viewers, which the show kicked off with CM Punk facing Luke Harper with a Daniel Bryan save after the match. Hour two averaged 3.951 million viewers, which featured Randy Orton and Big E Langston and the start of John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Goldust facing The Real Americans and Damien Sandow. The final hour of the show dropped to an average of 3.643 million viewers, which featured the finish of the six-man tag match and the closing segment of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, The Big Show, Randy Orton and The Shield.
Will the WWE panic as the show has considered one of the worst edition’s of Raw in 2013 or will they stay the course?
