Georges St-Pierre And Johny Hendricks Rematch Will Be Announced In A Few Weeks According To Dana White

UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre told Joe Rogan during his post-fight interview that he was “stepping away” from the UFC and was unsure if he would ever return. UFC President Dana White was furious with what St-Pierre said after the presser saying that he owed a rematch to the fans and Johny Hendricks. St-Pierre defeated Hendricks by a controversial split decision in the main event of UFC 167. The long-time reigning champion had refused to disclose why he needed to take some time away. It looks like though we can a rematch sooner rather than later.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, White said a rematch will happen and an announcement is forthcoming. “As far as a rematch, we’re on schedule and I’ll have a date within a couple weeks,” White said to the Times. “I feel confident that Georges is fine with that and all is on track.”

Do you think St-Pierre needs to take an extended amount of time off? will have the announcement when the rematch is announced.
