UFC 167 Buyrate Lowest For A Georges St-Pierre Fight Since 2008

UFC 167 last month was highlighted by now former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre defeating Johny Hendricks by a controversial split decision. After the fight, St-Pierre had hinted he may leave the UFC and confirmed that on a conference call Friday in vacating the title and taking an indefinite leave of absence.

Dave Meltzer of MMAFighting.com is reporting that the buyrate for UFC 167 and it was estimated to be between 600,000-650,000 buys. That would currently be the second biggest buyrate of the year, which the largest buyrate was St-Pierre’s fight against Nick Diaz at UFC 158 in March at around 950,000 buys.

The reported buyrate for UFC 167 would be the lowest buyrate for a St-Pierre led card since 2008.
