Ronda Rousey had ten months off between her fight against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 in February and her fight tonight against Miesha Tate at UFC 168. The champion will get about a quarter of that time off before her next fight.
It was announced at the UFC 168 post-fight by Dana White that Rousey will defend her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Sara McMann in eight weeks in the main event of UFC 170.
McMann was scheduled to make her octagon debut in August, but personal issues arose that kept McMann out of the fight. The Olympian hasn’t fought since April when she defeated Sheila Gaff by first round TKO at UFC 159.
UFC 170 takes place on Saturday, February 22 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
