It had been speculated that Brock Lesnar after his Summerslam bout with CM Punk, wouldn’t wrestle until Wrestlemania 30 due to his part-time contract. We were all wrong.

It was announced on tonight’s Smackdown tapings that Lesnar will be squaring off against The Big Show at The Royal Rumble. On last night’s Raw after Lesnar had brutalized Mark Henry. Lesnar and Paul Heyman were walking to the back and Show’s music hit and the duo headed back to the ring.

Lesnar and Show battled for a moment and then Show hip tossed Lesnar, who then rolled out of the ring.

At the Smackdown tapings, Show was on Miz TV and he challenged Lesnar to a match at the Rumble. Heyman came out a moment late and accepted the match for Lesnar.

The Royal Rumble takes place on Sunday, January 26 from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pitssburgh, Pennsylvania.

    Steve,

Ive got a great idea, lets take our wild card, we only use tops 4 times a year but pay him like he wrestles 4 times a night, the one we put with Paul Heyman, another man we’ve spent a fortune to bring in, have him beat one of our young, top stars & then immediately have him fight a guy that no one cares about with a couple years left to give, has no noticible merch to sell and has never been one of our biggest stats, Brilliant right?
