The one guy Vince McMahon was never able to sign to a WWE contract finally seems to be in the fold. It is being reported Dave Meltzer from The Wrestling Observer that Sting has signed a contract with the WWE.
Sting was a long time staple under the NWA/WCW banner beginning in the late 1980’s until the company folded in March of 2001, when the WCW was bought by the WWE. “The Stinger” was the only big name that left NWA/WCW when the company was in their heyday.
After WCW folded, Sting and WWE had talks to bring him into the company, but he ended up signing with TNA. He last worked in the company until January of this year.
What role Sting will have in WWE is unknown at this time and terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed according to Meltzer.
