Junior dos Santos Suffers Hand Injury, Out Of TUF Brazil 3 Main Event

Combate is reporting that former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos has suffered a hand injury and is out of his TUF Brazil 3 main event fight against Stipe Miocic. It is not known at this time whether Miocic will stay on the card.

dos Santos hasn’t competed since his loss to heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC 166 in October. Miocic has won two fights in a row, last defeating Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC on Fox 10 in January.

The dos Santos-Miocic fight was supposed to happen at UFC 173 in 19 days, but was shifted to this card when Chris Weidman vs Lyoto Machida was moved to UFC 175 in July.

TUF Brazil 3 Finale takes place on May 31 at Sao Paulo’s Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
