Report: Batista And WWE Relationship Still Tenuous

batista

Their was a report earlier in the week that Batista wasn’t going to be competing at the Payback pay-per-view June 1 and was refusing to put over Daniel Bryan. The report had also stated that he was unhappy certain things he was promised in his return.

ProWrestling.net now has an update to the story. Here is what WWE told the site.

“WWE wants that story out, but it’s all twisted,” the source told Prowrestling.net on Monday night. “(Batista) would do five jobs for Bryan. They’ve f—ed him in money, booking, broken promises (relating to his) schedule, and promoting his (outside projects).

“Had that not happened, he would be around until late June, but because Vince (McMahon) f—ed him, he’s not, so they dragged Daniel Bryan into this to vilify Batista. Daniel is beloved and a martyr so he benefits, but it has nothing to do with jobbing. They’ve twisted. It’s classic Vince. Look at Ultimate Warrior and SummerSlam, Bret Hart in Montreal. (Vince) puts out his narrative. There are always two sides.”

ProWrestling.net is also reporting that the relationship with Batista and WWE still tenuous and that Vince McMahon is now more involved in the situation. As of right now, Batista is scheduled to work through Payback and beyond that nobody knows.

We will keep you updated on this situation as more information becomes available.
