Kurt Angle Sidelined with Major Injury

Kurt Angle ready for TNA actionOn Impact Wrestling last night, it was played out that Kurt Angle suffered a torn ACL after losing a match to Ethan Carter III.  Well, it was more than just a storyline.

Angle does, in fact, have a torn ACL and had surgery on it several days ago. PWInsider.com was first to report the story.  The injury is expect to sideline him for 4-6 months.

Angle acknowledged the injury on his Twitter account:

With him being out for at least four months, Angle may have wrestled his last match with TNA Wrestling.  His contract is believed to expire in August or September and  he has been open in the last few months to returning to the WWE although it remains to be seen if they would take him back, even for a part-time deal.  If he did not return to TNA, another option may be Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling promotion which should be running shows by then and have a television deal in place.
