WWE Monday Night Raw Draws Lowest Rating And Viewership In 2014

WWE Monday Night Raw took place last night from Greenville, South Carolina. Some of the highlights of the show included WWE world heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan announcing he is having neck surgery, with his return unknown at this time. The show also featured the continuation of the feuds between Evolution/The Shield and John Cena/Bray Wyatt. The rating for last night’s show seems to reflect that maybe the fans weren’t interested in some aspects of the show.

WWE Monday Night Raw scored a 2.88 rating with an average of 4.00 million viewers, which is the lowest rating and viewership of the year. Last week’s show had a 3.02 rating with an average of 4.28 million viewers.

The first hour of the show, which averaged 3.81 million viewers was highlighted by the opening segment between Evolution and The Shield and the promo by Bryan. The second hour, which was the highest rated hour of the show averaged 4.25 million viewers was highlighted by Cena and The Usos facing The Wyatt Family. The final hour of the show averaged 3.96 million viewers was highlighted by the Stephanie McMahon, Kane and Bryan and the final segment of the show featuring Batista vs Roman Reigns.

Did people tune out after seeing Daniel Bryan at the beginning of the third hour or was it due to other factors?
