It had expected in the wrestling world that WWE would be announcing their television deal today. We may have to wait a little while longer. It has being reported by Variety that WWE are “near” a deal to keep Raw and Smackdown with NBC Universal.

Financial terms haven’t been disclosed, but Variety states that people on Wall Street believe that WWE will be doubling their current licensing deals. In 2013, WWE earned $160.9 million for their broadcast rights around the world, and $139.5 million in 2012.

At the time of the article’s writing, a contract hasn’t been signed between the two parties, but is expected to be completed shortly. We could still see an announcement as the NBC upfront will be taking place today at 4 p.m. ET.
