During the kickoff show leading into the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan announced that he is still not certain when he be able to return to the ring following neck surgery.
Bryan, making his first appearance since being stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, stated that still has not regained strength in his arm following neck surgery in May. Not only does he not know when he can return to the ring but he added that he may need another surgery.
If that is the case, it’s another tough blow for Bryan after the biggest moment of his career at WrestleMania 30 where he defeated Triple H and then went on to beat both Batista and Randy Orton in the main event of that show to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
After having surgery, there was hope that if Bryan’s recovery went well that he could be back at the Money in the Bank PPV. However, that was not the case and with the uncertainty of when he would be healthy enough to return, the WWE made the decision to strip him of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Bryan was in line to be the top guy in the company but that is on hold now due to this injury.
