Update on Emma Arrest

On Monday, Tenille Dashwood, better known to WWE fans as Emma, was arrested in Hartford, CT and charged with sixth-degree larceny after she stole an item from Wal-Mart.  However, it looks like it be a simple misunderstanding that landed her in trouble with the law.

Her lawyer Hubert Santos explained the situation outside the courtroom to The Hartford Courant:

Santos said outside the courtroom that his client’s arrest stemmed from a mistake. She was using the self-checkout machine at the Hartford Walmart when she bought about $30 of items but forgot to pay for an iPod or iPad case, Santos said.

Hartford police described the item as a red iHome Slim Swivel iPad mini case valued $21.14.

That sounds like a simple mistake that could happen to anyone.  Her lawyer went on to say that his client was told to perform community service.

Unfortunately, she was arrested for this incident and it became public news and quite embarrassing.  Hopefully, that’s all this situation is and there will be no repercussions from the WWE over it.
