WWE Main Event Results: Battleground Build Continues

First In-Ring Segment:

We open up Main Event with Cesaro and Heyman in the ring. Cesaro has an eye patch on. Heyman says that he never lies, and always lives up to his promises. He says he promised Brock would break the streak, and that is what happened. He then says that everyone was told that Cesaro would face Dolph tonight, but that match can not happen now. Heyman says that Kofi deliberately injured Cesaro last night. We are then shown a replay of Cesaro’s beat down after Kofi’s upset win. Heyman says that Cesaro may not compete tonight, but he will compete at Battleground. Out comes Ziggler. Dolph says that Heyman may joke about him being a failure, but he wants to know when Cesaro has won anything, especially the goals that Dolph has achieved. Out comes Big E. Big E says he will do anything to get his championship back, and out comes RybAxel.RybAxel says that when they are both in the Battle Royal, it is guaranteed one of them will win.  RVD then comes out. RVD says that everyone is accomplished, but only one person is RVD. RybAxel then attacks RVD, and the faces clear the ring

The Wyatts appear on the screen and said they’re coming. There will be a six man tag team match pitting Rob Van Dam, Big E and Dolph Ziggler against RybAxel and Cesaro.

Chris Jericho will return to WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

First Match: The Wyatt Family vs. R-Truth & Xavier Woods

Harper and Woods start the match, and Woods hits a quick kick and tags in Truth. Truth however gets taken down with a big boot, and then tags in Rowan. Truth is able to create some space, and then tags in Woods. Woods makes his comeback, and finishes it with a DDT. Woods makes the cover but only gets a two count. Rowan halts Woods momentum with a big kick, and Harper takes out Truth.  Rowan then hits a side slam for the three count.

Winner: The Wyatt Family

Second Match: The Funkadactyls vs. Nikki Bella & Alicia Fox

Nikki Bella comes out for a rematch from RAW. Stephanie McMahon appears on the big screen and says she’s assigned Nikki a tag partner for this match. Out comes Alicia Fox.

Cameron and Naomi start things out. Cameron takes control and Alicia begs for a tag. Nikki finally drops Cameron and goes for a tag but Alicia leaves her hanging. Alicia hits her own partner and Cameron covers for the easy win.

Winner: The Funkadactyls

Renee Young is backstage with Sheamus. She asks about his challenge on SmackDown and Alberto Del Rio interrupts. Del Rio says he’s going to win the Intercontinental Title at Battleground and win the United States Title from Sheamus on SmackDown.

We get a recap of the storyline between The Authority and John Cena from Raw.

We go backstage with Cesaro and Heyman. Renee asks if there is any reason why Cesaro didn’t want to compete tonight. Heyman says he will fight, and that he is more of a man then any of the men that keep forfeiting their titles.

Sheamus will defend the United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Third Match: Cesaro & Rybaxel vs. Dolph Ziggler, Big E and Rob Van Dam

It’s going to be Ryback and Big E starting off. Ryback strikes first but Big E runs over him. They run the ropes and Big E nails a big shoulder. Ryback runs into a big belly to belly suplex. Axel tags in but Big E pulls him over the top rope and goes to work on him.

Cesaro gets brought in next. Ziggler tags in and Cesaro goes to work on him. Cesaro ends up retreating to the floor and Axel comes in. RVD also tags in and goes at it with Axel. RVD drops him with a kick to the head and nails Rolling Thunder. Ziggler dropkicks Cesaro out of the ring. The babyfaces clear the ring as we go to commercials.

Back from the break and RVD goes at it with Axel. Axel takes him to the corner and tags in Ryback for some double teaming. Ryback beats down RVD now. Ryback runs into a big dropkick. RVD with offense in the corner now. Ziggler finally gets a tag and cleans house. He nails a Fame-asser on Cesaro for a two count. More back and forth with Cesaro. Ziggler nails a big DDT for another close two count as Axel breaks it. Big E takes out Ryback. Ryback takes out Big E. RVD sends Ryback to the floor. RVD goes to the top but Cesaro shoves him off onto everyone else on the floor. Ziggler nails a Zig Zag on Cesaro from behind for the win.

After the match, Ziggler celebrates with RVD and Big E as a referee checks on Cesaro. The babyfaces pose in the middle of the ring as we go to replays

Winner: Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam and Big E
