Ronda Rousey was a 9 to 1 favorite heading into her UFC women’s bantamweight title defense against Alexis Davis at tonight’s UFC 175. Now we know why “Rowdy” was such a favorite.
The fight opened with Davis coming right at Rousey, but the champion came right back to pucnhes and knees. Rousey then threw a rigght hook/left hook combination and a knee to the liver. Rousey then threw a beautiful judo throw and right into a side headlock and started landing shots to the forehead of Davis. The challenger wasn’t able to defend herself after numerous shots to the head and referee Yves Lavigne stopped the fight.
