Vitor Belfort was supposed to face Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight championship instead of Lyoto Machida. Belfort though had to bow out of the fight when the Nevada State Athletic Commission banned TRT use and he needed time to regroup his body.
Belfort was scheduled to fight Chael Sonnen on tonight’s UFC 175 pending getting his license, but Sonnen failed a random drug test and the fight was scrapped. It was widely assumed that “The Phenom” would get the winner of tonight’s title fight with Weidman and Machida.
Belfort released a statement on Twitter saying he wants his title shot against Weidman.
Now I want what I deserve, MY TITIE SHOT!!! Don't run away!! No excuses!! Agora eu quero o q eu… http://t.co/wZYj8OBVAT
