Bellator 123 Adds Bobby Lashley, Cheick Kongo And King Mo To Offset UFC Show On September 5

Friday, September 5th could go down as one of those landmark moments in the history of MMA. Bellator and the UFC will be airing shows the same night within 10 miles of each other in the state of Connecticut. The UFC had announced their two big matches and Bellator had only announced their main event of Pat Curran and Patricio Freire for the featherweight championship.

The company announced today that at Bellator 123 will also feature King Mo Lawal vs Tom DeBlass, Cheick Kongo vs Lavar Johnson and the company debut of TNA Wrestling heavyweight champion Bobby Lashley. The former WWE star will fight Josh Burns to kick off the main card.

Bellator 123 takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CN, while UFC Fight Night 50 will take place at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut. That card is headlined by Gegard Mousasi vs Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and the co-feature has Ben Rothwell vs Alistair Overeem.
