The Rock States That He Has Talked With Vince McMahon About Returning

The Rock hasn’t wrestled a match in the WWE since he lost the WWE title to John Cena at Wrestlemania 29 last year. During the match, Rock tore tendons in his pelvis and had reportedly ruined the start of a program with Brock Lesnar.

In an interview with Michelle Beadle on ESPN’s Sportsnation, Rock confirmed those reports of long program with Lesnar starting at Wrestlemania 30 this past April and if the match went well, to culminate at Wrestlemania 31 next year in San Francisco. Rock confirmed that he has also been discussing WWE chairman Vince McMahon about a return to a WWE ring.

“Right now, I’ve been talking to Vince (McMahon) about the idea,” Rock said. “It’s one of those things we just got to figure out what opponent makes sense. What opponent would actually have the marquee matchup value that either John Cena, as John had the last two main events we did or Brock Lesnar. Their (WWE) still finding guys there who are hungry guys, who are on the come up like Bray Wyatt, my cousin Roman Reigns. I’m not quite too sure when, but I would love to go back.”

Who do you want The Rock to face if he returns to the ring?
