Highlights Of Thursday’s WWE Conference Call

On Thursday morning, the WWE held their second quarter conference call to discuss what happened in the quarter. Apart of the call was WWE chairman Vince McMahon, WWE Chief Strategy and Financial Officer George Barrios and WWE Investor Relations Michael Weitz. Here are the highlights of the call.

-McMahon says the key drivers for the company are domestic attendance, television ratings and the WWE Network.
-McMahon said domestic attendance is up 11 percent.
-Television ratings are up five percent for Raw and three percent for Smackdown.
-McMahon says the ten year agreement with Rogers Communications is like an “HBO model”.
-WWE Network will be seen in over 170 countries starting on August 12th.
-New WWE Network programming will include “Rivalries” and “The Monday Night Wars.”
-Plan is to increase their 2015 outlook by 30 million dollars by reducing their staff by seven percent.
-91 percent access the WWE Network once a week using an average of 2.5 devices.
-The Network will soon be available on Smart TV’s and Blu-ray players.
-Company will be adding a ‘Resume Play’ option.
-Live attendance for shows averaged 7,000 fans.
-WWE had $19.4 million in network revenue offset by $13.2 million decline in PPV.
