Everybody in the MMA world thought Gina Carano to the UFC was a lock. Let’s pump the brakes just a bit.
MMAFighting.com is reporting that Carano and Bellator are in preliminary talks for her to return to MMA with the idea of the promotion reviving the women’s division. No deal between the parties has been reached as rumors were circulating that an agreement was agreed upon.
Hmm.. Rumor is that Gina signed with Bellator.. Apparently so did Marloes Coenen

One good source tells me the Gina Carano signing with Bellator rumors are not true. (Cont'd)

The website also reports that new Bellator president Scott Coker would like to add one women’s division, which would be at 145 pounds. That is the weight class that Carano has competed at in the past.
It would make sense that Carano would be talking with the organization considering Carano and Coker worked together for two fights under the Strikeforce banner. “Conviction” hasn’t fought since August of 2009 when she lost to Cris Cyborg for the vacant Strikeforce featherweight championship.
Which promotion will Carano sign with? Bellator or the UFC?
