TNA Impact Wrestling Results: Roode vs. Lashley 2

First Match: Second Round Match in the Tag Team Number One Contender’s Tournament
MVP & Kenny King vs. Low Ki & Samoa Joe

Kenny King and Low Ki start this one off, they lock up and King works the arm of Low Ki. However, Low Ki nailed a kick to the chest of King. MVP and Joe tagged in, MVP goes for a wrist lock, but Joe got to the ropes. A very slow start to this one. Joe with a series of kicks to the legs and goes for an ankle lock, but MVP makes his way to the ropes. Low Ki tagged in and nailed an elbow drop for two count. MVP drives him into the corner, he tags in King who nailed a series of shoulder blocks followed by a power slam and a springboard leg drop. Low Ki fires back with a series of right hands, he nailed a chop to the chest and covered him for two count. Joe tagged in, he nailed a series of right hands followed by a back elbow.

MVP dragged King out of the ring to regroup and they try to drag Joe out of the ring, but instead Low Ki lands a dive over the top rope taking out MVP and King. Back in the ring, Low Ki landed a kick to the chest of King. Low Ki with a kick to the back of the head of King. MVP knocks him down and lands a series of right hands to Low Ki leading to break. We’re back with MVP and King in control of Low Ki. They dominate him with quick in and out tags until Low Ki gets the hot tag to Joe, who cleans house on MVP and King. Joe with a sries of big boots to both men, but Joe runs into a chop by King. Joe with a power slam on King for two count. MVP breaks it up, Joe knocks him off the apron and Joe goes for the rear naked choke on King, but MVP knocks him down from behind. King nailed a kick to the face of King for two count as Low Ki breaks it up. Low Ki takes out MVP with a springboard kick to the face. Back in the ring, Low Ki nailed a drop kick to King and Joe locked in a rear naked choke to King for the win.

Winner: Low Ki & Samoa Joe 

Highlights from Magnus helping Bram defeat Devon last week is shown. Devon cuts a promo backstage about how Magnus is a punk and he picked a fight with the wrong guy. His phone rings and he has a friend in the parking lot that he goes to meet.

Bram Segment: 

Bram makes his way out to the ring. He cuts a promo about how he will destroy the man behind hardcore. He said that Abyss and Devon’s time is up. He wants to call out his brother, Magnus. Magnus cuts a promo about if anyone thinks about facing him then they need to look in the mirror and think again. Bram said could you imagine if he was as violent as he is now when he was world champion then he would be unstoppable. He said that he is going to take out all of the dinosaurs. Devon makes his way to the ring where he tells them to shut up. Devon brings up that Magnus cost him his match against Bram and he brings out Tommy Dreamer as his backup. A brawl breaks out between all four men. Dreamer and Devon fend off Bram and Magnus, they stand tall in the ring.

Madison Rayne and Taryn terrell are shown in the back talking about Rayne beating Terrell a few weeks ago.

Second Match: The Beautiful People vs. Taryn Terrell & Madison Rayne 

Angelina Love and Rayne start things off, Rayne goes for  a quick pin attempt, but only gets two. She tags in Terrell, Love lands a series of right hands to Terrell, but Terrell fights back and nailed a neck breaker for two count. Terrell trips both Love and Sky, she then hit a drop kick that sends both girls to the floor. Terrell with a baseball slide knock them both down and then she goes for a tag to Rayne, but instead she brings Love back into the ring. Sky trips Terrell and Love puts the boots to Terrell. Sky tagged in and Terrell takes both girls out with a clothesline. Terrell looks for a tag by Rayne, but Rayne jumps off the apron. Terrell with a big boot to Love and then Sky. Terrell with a crossbody off the top rope taking out both girls. Terrell looks for a tag by rayne and she gets in the ring, but was never legally tagged in. Rayne with a big boot to Terrell and then hit her finisher on Terrell. Sky covered Terrell for the win.

Winner: The Beautiful People 

Third Match: Second Round Match in the Tag Team Number One Contender’s Tournament
Ethan Carter III & Tyrus vs. The Hardy Boyz

EC3 and Matt Hardy start things off, they trade right hands. Matt with a back elbow, he tagged in Jeff who nailed a splash for a near fall. EC3 cuts him off with right hands, Jeff with a head scissors, he then tags in Matt and they nailed a double team move. Jeff with a splash in the corner and Matt with a side effect complete the double team move. EC3 drives Matt into the corner and Tyrus is tagged in. Tyrus with a splash in the corner followed by a elbow drop. Tyrus and EC3 double team Matt until moved and EC3 missed a splash in the corner, Matt hit a neck breaker and tagged in Jeff.

Here comes Jeff, he nailed a series of rights and lefts. Jeff with a leg drop to the groin followed by a drop kick to the face for a near fall. Jeff misses a splash in the corner, but nailed a elbow and whisper in the wind to follow. Matt tagged in, he connected with a clothesline and Jeff hit twist of fate. Tyrus tagged in, he nailed a double clothesline on the two brothers. Tyrus goes to the top rope, he missed a splash and Jeff hit a twistt of fate and so did Matt. Jeff with a swanton bomb on Tyrus, Matt covered him for the win.

Winner: The Hardy Boyz 

 The Revolution Segment: 

James Storm comes down with the Great Sanada and Manik. He says that there is a Storm coming – get it!? He claims that Sanada was weak under the guidance of the Great Muta, but now he’s a winner. Manik was a faceless nobody with no purpose, but now preaches his gospel. He says that any of them can become champions, and extends an offer to Davey Richards to join them. Davey Richards makes his way out, and Storm tells him to remember what he did when his partners tried to hold him back. He asks him to join the Revolution, but they are interrupted by Eddie Edwards. He tells Storm to back off, and that Davey isn’t going to join some ridiculous cult. Davey says that he can talk for himself, but Storm and Eddie get into it, and a challenge for a match is thrown down.

Fourth Match: Eddie Edwards w/Davey Richards vs. James Storm w/Manik and The Great Sanada 

Storm with a jaw breaker, he nailed a clothesline. Edwards reverses a suplex, nailed a big boot and connects with a series of clotheslines. Edwards with more chops to the chest of Storm, and then a front kick to the face of Storm. Edwards with a sitdown powerbomb off the middle rope for two count. Storm nailed a DDT off the middle rope, Storm missed a shot with the microphone to Edwards and instead Edwards sends Storm to the floor. Edwards with a springboard dive taking out Storm. Edwards nailed a baseball slide to Manik who was talking to Davey. Edwards argues with Davey and when he turns around, Storm nailed the superkick for the win.

Winner: James Storm 

Fifth Match: TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match 
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Bobby Roode

Lashley with a clothesline and a few shoulder blocks to Roode. However, Roode trips him and goes for the crossface, but Lashley makes it to the ropes. Lashley ducks out to the floor, Roode follows and they brawl around ringside leading to break.  We’re back with Roode attempting to make a comeback with a series of knees, he nailed a big boot and a neck breaker off the middle rope for two count. Lashley cuts him off with a big time power slam for a near fall. Lashley lifts him up, he goes for a power slam, but blocked and Lashley went for a splash on Roode, but collected Angle instead. Lashley with a spine buster on Roode for a near fall. Lashley goes for a spear, but missed and nailed Angle instead. Roode with a enziguri, Lashley rolls to the floor. Lashley went for another spear and missed Roode, he took out the time keepr. Roode hit the Roode bomb on Lashley on the ramp.

Back in the ring, Roode covers Lashley and Brian Hebner runs down to count the fall, but Lashley kicks out at two count. Lashley nailed a low blow on Roode, he went and grabbed his title. Lashley went to hit Roode with it, but Lashley drops it and clotheslines Hebner. Lashley went to hit Roode with the title and connected with Roode’s face. Angle rolled in and counted the near fall. Lashley goes for the dominator, but blocked and Roode hit the Roode bomb, but blocked by Lashley. Roode sent Lashley to the apron and Lashley uses the ropes to his advantage. Lashley to the top rope, but roode grabbed him and goes for the Roode bomb, but blocked and Lashley tried to roll him up, but Roode sat down and pinned Lashley’s shoulders down for the win. bomb, but blocked by Lashley. Roode sent Lashley to the apron and Lashley uses the ropes to his advantage. Lashley to the top rope, but roode grabbed him and goes for the Roode bomb, but blocked and Lashley tried to roll him up, but Roode sat down and pinned Lashley’s shoulders down for the win.

Winner: NEW TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BOBBY ROOODE!
