It was announced a few weeks ago that Jake Roberts will be inducted into this years WWE Hall of Fame. As of this writing, The Ultimate Warrior and Lita will be joining Roberts in this years class.

The question was, who would induct Roberts? We got that answer today as Diamond Dallas Page will induct his mentor.

ATLANTA, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — There will be plenty of action outside the ring this spring at WWE’s Wrestlemania- thanks to 3-time WCW Professional Wrestling Champion Diamond Dallas Page. Page will be bringing his revolutionary fitness system DDP YOGA to New Orleans April 4th and 5th, to coincide with the biggest weekend in wrestling.

Page will be hosting his intensive DDP YOGA workshops at the Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank, where attendees will learn how they can tap into the power of dynamic resistance and take control of their health – and their lives.

DDP YOGA has become hugely popular among current and past athletes, as well as regular people who are seeking to overhaul their health and fitness with a low-impact but amazingly effective calorie-blasting, muscle-building workout.

WWE Wrestlemania will be a particularly poignant weekend for Page, as he will also be making a special appearance in support of his friend and fellow wrestling star/ former mentor, Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Roberts will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 and Page will introduce Roberts, who has become one of the most inspiring DDP YOGA success stories to date.

Roberts has said that if he could regain his health through DDP YOGA, anyone can: the program empowers people at any fitness level to take charge of their health and take control of their lives through fitness. There will also be a raffle drawing for DDP YOGA prizes.

JPOV: Awesome edition of Monday Night RAW. Loved the matches that involved~ Daniel Bryan vs. Kane, Sheamus vs. Christian, and Roman Regins vs. Bray Wyatt. Loved the promo from Daniel Bryan. The low point for me with this Raw was the commentary from JBL. I thought Batista had a better match with Del Rio then they did at the Elimination Chamber. Enjoyed the interaction with The Wyatt Family and John Cena. This show needed more of The Authority. You can’t go wrong with the return of Hulk Hogan just a great moment for the WWE. Of course the last segment right there with Brock Lesnar and Undertaker that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family match was epic that is all that needs to be said. Batista had a solid outing with Del Rio despite a very disrespectful crowd. Loved the chamber match sorry folks Bryan shouldn’t have won the title at the chamber PPV.

Top Matches In The History Of WWE Elimination Chamber

elimination chamber

The WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view takes place tonight from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The main event features the Elimination Chamber match with Randy Orton defending the WWE world heavyweight championship against Cesaro, Christian, Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Sheamus.

The first Elimination Chamber match took place at the 2002 Survivor Series. Tonight’s match will be the 17th chamber match in WWE history. Chris Jericho has competed in the most chamber matches at eight and Triple H has the most victories at four.

We are now going to take a look at the top matches inside the Elimination Chamber.

3)  No Way Out  2009: Edge walked into this event as the WWE champion. The Smackdown chamber kicked off the night as Edge defended the title against Triple H, The Undertaker, Jeff Hardy and Big Show and Vladimir Kozlov. The champion didn’t last long as he was pinned by Jeff Hardy about 2:30 into the match. The match came down to Undertaker and Triple H with HHH winning the match to become the WWE champion.

The former champion wasn’t done for the night as the main event of the show was the Raw chamber match featuring John Cena defending the world heavyweight championship against Chris Jericho, Kane, Mike Knox, Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston.

As Kingston was making his way to the cage, Edge attacked him from behind and threw him into the ringside steps and then grabbed hit Kingston over the head with a chair. Edge then ran into one of the chamber pods and inserted himself into the match. Cena ended up being the third man eliminated as he was speared and pinned by Edge. The match came down to Edge and Mysterio. Edge threw Mysterio through the pod glass and put Mysterio back into the ring, speared him and became the new world heavyweight champion. Edge was the only WWE superstar to ever compete in two chamber matches in one night.

2) No Way Out 2008: The Undertaker is nearing the end of his Hall of Fame career. The Undertaker has only competed in three chamber matches in his career. Taker was in the 2008 match with Batista, MVP, Big Daddy V, Finlay and Great Khali to determine the number one contender for the world heavyweight championship. The final two participants were Taker and Batista. In a unique ending, Batista was on the outside with his back to the ring and Taker lifted Batista over the ropes for tombstone piledriver and the pinfall victory. That was The Undertaker’s lone chamber victory.

1) Survivor Series 2002: This was the first time that the match ever took place. The match featured HHH defending the world heavyweight championship against Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Chris Jericho and Kane. One of the highlights of the match was Van Dam doing a five star frog splash and landing on HHH and causing a severe throat injury. The ending of the match came down to HHH and Michaels with Michaels back body dropping HHH from a pedigree and landing “Sweet Chin Music” to capture the title in a thrilling match.

Cris Cyborg To Drop To 135 Pounds And Wants To “Retire” Ronda Rousey

cris cyborg

Ronda Rousey tonight makes the third defense of her UFC women’s bantamweight championship as she defends against Sara McMann in the main event of UFC 170. If Rousey is victorious tonight, her next title defense is unknown at this time.

Her longtime rival Cris Cyborg would like to get that crack at Rousey. The reason the fight hasn’t taken place yet is that Cyborg had refused in the past to drop from 145 to 135 pounds and wanted the fight to take place at a catchweight of 140 pounds.

Cyborg sent a statement to “Inside MMA”:

“In reference to Ronda’s statement that I am looking for a payday so that I can retire, you’re right, I am looking for a payday to retire you like I did Gina Carano. But to show it’s not only about money, I challenge you to a fight – winner takes all. Or better yet let’s fight for FREE. ANYTIME! ANYWHERE! Ask your daddy Dana to make it happen.

My English is not that great, so sorry if I was misunderstood. I didn’t literally mean I would die if I made 135. What I meant was that my doctor recommended that I did not fight the rest of my career at 135, which is what the UFC wanted.

You have fought 154 in the Olympics and 145 in MMA. You can meet me at 140 easier than for me to go down to 135. The only reason you want the fight at 135 is because you feel that is your only chance because you hope the weight cut will affect me. You guys say I’m irrelevant, yet watch my highlights. The true MMA fans not only know me, but know I’m the best. Sad that you give the true MMA fans no recognition by saying that they don’t matter.

I’m currently training to fight at 145 on March 28 and in early May. My team has hired a medical doctor to help me make 135. I plan to challenge and win the Invicta 135 Championship in the summer and challenge you, champion to champion, for your 135 belt in December.

Now I know critics will say “I thought you said you would die if you made 135.” All I’m promising is that I will give 100 percent to try to get to 135 to make this plan happen. If I do, I will still listen to my doctor’s advice and fight no more than three times at 135: first to win the Invicta belt, the second time to kick your ass and the third time to kick your ass again so that the world can see it wasn’t luck. You can even have me tested every week up to the fight. That way you will not have an excuse after I kick your ass.”

He applied a bear hug that seemed to take forever. Rey broke free, but could not sustain any offense. Rapid tags let to Bray Wyatt being in the ring, and he hit a splash on Rey in the corner. Rey avoided the second one and tagged in Goldust.

Rowan also tagged in and ate a cross body from Goldust. The match broke down at this point as Bray interfered. Rey Mysterio hit a 619 on Rowan, and dove on Harper at ringside. Harper caught him and threw him into the barricade. Cody then dove on Harper, which left Goldust with Rowan in the ring. Goldust set up Rowan for the shattered dreams, but he didn’t realize Bray Wyatt had made a blind tag. Wyatt then hit a diving body block and Sister Abigail for the win.

Sheamus hits a shoulder block off the ropes, then Christian applies a waistlock but Sheamus breaks it so Christian throws some elbows. Sheamus fights right back with some strikes, then he sets up for a powerslam but Christian throws him outside and sets up a suicide dive. Christian jumps but Sheamus avoids him, then he hits a rolling fireman’s carry on the floor as we go to a break.

Christian slapped his way back into the match, and both men ended up out on the floor after a series of reversals. Sheamus charged at Christian and sent him hard into the barricade. He backed up and charged again, but Christian dumped Sheamus into the timekeepers area. Christian ripped the padding away from the barricade, and pulled Sheamus’ arm through the bars. He then yanked Sheamus’ chest repeatedly into the steel frame underneath the padding. It was a pretty cool looking spot.

In the ring, Christian continued the assault on Sheamus and stomped on his wrist. He then wrapped it around the top rope and wrenched on it, and Cole reminded everyone about Sheamus’ surgically repaired shoulder. Christian continued to work on the arm and shoulder of Sheamus, and tried a cover, but got a two count.

Both men traded strikes and Christian went up top. Sheamus noticed and tossed him off the top rope. He then fired up and hit a knee lift and a power slam. A video package highlighting Gunner’s life and career in TNA opens the show, hyping tonight’s World Championship Match. Dixie Carter, Magnus, EC3 and Rockstar Spud are shown from the backstage area. Carter tells everyone to stop second guessing her. Magnus gives a pep talk to the Dixieland stable, but EC3 is noticeably ignoring it. Magnus tells Carter that they need to get on the same page and they shake hands.

First Segment: We cut “live” to the arena, and Magnus and Dixie walk down to the ring. MVP makes his way to the ring to a massive reaction from the UK crowd. The champ tells him that if he ever got in the ring with him, “nine years” would be nothing compared to how long it would take to recover. Shots fired at his past criminal life.

The crowd chants “paper champion” and MVP tells Magnus a real champion wouldn’t have to tell people every chance they got. We get down to business, as MVP wants an answer for his Lethal Lockdown challenge. Magnus says they accept, but he will not be captaining his team because he has to defend the world title against Samoa Joe. He calls MVP a “bitch” and the two start brawling. Ethan Carter III hits the ring and attacks MVP from behind. The Wolves are shown attacking security backstage, and Gunner evens the odds. Magnus bails as his challenger hits the ring, and the four men stare each other down.

First Match: 3 on 1 Handicap Match Samoa Joe vs. The Bro-Mans and DJ Zema Ion

Joe clothesline the tag team champions and just walks away as Zema dives off the top rope. Zema got caught by the numbers game. The heels hit a trio of knees in the corner, and pick up Joe for a top rope attack, but Joe moves out of the way. Double legsweep to the champs, followed by Joe going suicide dive to the outside, taking out everyone. Back in the ring, Zema rakes the eyes to escape the Muscle Buster, but gets caught with an S-T-F. Muscle Buster connects, and Joe locks in the rear naked choke for the submission to pick up the victory.

Winner: Samoa Joe

The announce team hyped Kurt Angle’s Hall of Fame induction next week. Backstage, Bobby Roode spoke with James Storm. Roode said he had a hard time trusting people and it reached a point where he was a man alone in the locker room. He said it had gotten to be to much. Storm asked him what he was saying. Roode said they had some good stuff and bad stuff and the bad was on him and he could’t change it. He said the good stuff they had was special and Storm was the only guy he could trust and he screwed that up. Storm told Roode to chill. He said they knew when they got in the business it was hard. He said if the business was slapping Roode in the face then he needed to slap it back. He said it was a dog eat dog world. In the divided office, MVP asked Austin Aries to be on his Lethal Lockdown team. Aries said he would think about it and they shook hands. A video seemed to be about the UK tour, but it turned into a cellphone video of Gail Kim and Madison Rayne brawling backstage, which lead to Madison making her entrance for a street fight.

Second Match: Street Fight Match Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim w/Lei’D Tapa

Madison grabbed a cookie sheet and attacked Kim during her entrance to start the match. Tapa stood there and watched her attack and didn’t do anything at all about it even though this is a street fight and therefore there are no rules. I guess TNA has just given up on logic completely at this point. Madison continued her assault and tossed Kim to the floor. Tapa stood between them and Madison jumped off the apron onto Tapa. Tapa caught her, but accidentally spun her around to hit Kim before slamming her into the apron.

Kim put the figure four leg lock around the post on Madison for a while and then went for a chair. She tried to hit Madison in the leg, but Madison moved her leg and kicked the chair into Kim’s face. Kim bled from the nose afterward. Back in the ring, Tapa climbed into the ring and Madison hit her with a cookie sheet and a kendo stick. She wound up with a chair, but Kim hit Madison with the belt and covered her for the win.

Winner: Gail Kim

Backstage, Hemme was looking at photos of Anderson’s kids with him. Shaw walked into frame, looked pissed, and walked away. Another Gunner hype video aired. It even showed his wife and family. Bobby Roode was shown walking backstage. Ethan Carter III is preparing for a match, and says that he won’t take anything away from the career of Kurt Angle, but claims he more or less ended his career.

Bobby Roode makes his way out to the ring and talks about having a dream as a kid of wanting to be a pro wrestler. He says he’s done things he’s not proud of, and he’s ruined friendships because of his attitude. He announces that tonight will be his last night as a professional wrestler. Dixie Carter comes out and says she needs Roode to be her captain for the Lethal Lockdown match. Carter tells Roode that if Team Dixie wins this match, Roode will get 10% ownership of Impact Wrestling.

Third Match: The American Wolves vs. Kazarian and Christopher Daniels

Daniels locks up with Davey Richards, but knocks Eddie off the apron. Davey chops the hell out of Daniels and the Wolves hit him with a double team hip toss. Bad Influence takes control over Eddie, tagging in and out quickly to keep their team fresh, while the referee keeps Davey in check. Eddie dropkicks Kaz off the apron and goes to work with rapid fire chops in the corner. Daniels tries for the BME but Richards hits the ring and kicks him out of the air. Eddie with a double foot stomp, Davey with a double foot stomp, the Wolves pick up the win.

Winner: The Wolves

Fourth Match: TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match

Magnus (c) vs. Gunner

Just announced, this match has no disqualifications or count-outs. Slow match to start with a feeling out process that ends with Magnus dropping into a side headlock. Gunner breaks free and hits a series of clotheslines, Magnus calls to the back for help, but James Storm comes out with the Wolves to stand on the entrance ramp as we go to commercial. When Impact comes back, Magnus is in control. He hits the Falon Arrow and heads up to the top rope, coming down with the elbow drop for a two-count. Magnus whiffs a shot with the title belt and the two collide in the air – both men down.

Ethan Carter III and the BroMans storm the ring, but are immediately attacked by the Wolves and James Storm. The six of them fight up the ramp as Gunner hits a powerbomb on Magnus. He then climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits a diving headbutt to the champion. Rockstar Spud puts the champ’s leg on the bottom rope to save the match. Gunner goes after Spud but gets blasted by the title belt from behind. Somehow the challenger kicks out, and James Storm comes back to ringside to chase off Spud. Gunner builds up a head of steam and takes it to the champion with rights and lefts. A slingshot suplex connects and Gunner pounds his chest, signalling for the end. Sit-down backbreaker connects, and Gunner heads to the top rope one more time. Spud gets in the ring and Storm tosses him out. Gunner leaps off the top rope, but Storm superkicks him in the face. 1.2.3.

Winner: Magnus

1.) Daniel Bryan, Christian, and Sheamus vs. The Shield

Seth Rollins and Christian started the match, and brawled a bit. Roman Reigns tagged in and he and Christian traded offense until Sheamus tagged into the match. Roman Regins and Sheamus had a stare down and Sheamus opened up with some strikes. After a bit of back and forth action, Sheamus hit a forward roll slam. Sheamus then drove knee into Reigns and covered him for a two count. Reigns turned things around with a back elbow and ragged in Ambrose.

Sheamus started to take over Ambrose with a clothesline and tagged in Daniel Bryan. Bryan came into the match off a hot tag and started to the land the majority of his signature moves on The Shield. He attempted to lock Ambrose in the Yes Lock, but both Shield members entered, and then Christian and Sheamus, and all six men had a standoff mid-ring.

The crowd rocked a big Yes chant as Daniel Bryan tagged out to Sheamus. He hit his clubs to the chest on Rollins and tried to climb to the tope. A brief distraction from Ambrose allowed Rollins to knock him down to the apron, where Reigns hit a running dropkick from the floor. Roman Reigns grabbed Sheamus and tossed him into the barricade, and then back into the ring for Ambrose. Ambrose hit some strikes and then tagged Rollins back in, who continued the beat down.

Reigns tagged in and the heels continued to cut off the ring and force Sheamus to deal with all three of them. He got in a hope spot or two, but otherwise Roman Reigns dominated. He got cocky and talked smack to Christian, which allowed Sheamus to hit a uranage. Rollins tagged in and tried to prevent the hot tag, but missed a running senton, and Christian tagged in. He went to work on all three heels, knocking Rollins and Reigns off the apron, and then hit a tornado DDT on  Ambrose for a broken pin.

JPOV: A very good edition of Monday Night RAW. Alot of progression in storylines heading into the Elimination Chamber PPV. I enjoyed the six man tag team match with The Wyatt Family taking on Rey Mysterio and The Rhodes Brothers. Two other great tag team matches tonight with Sheamus and Christian beating Real Americans and The Usos beating Rybaxel.

Betty White as a guest star was really funny tonight one of the better celebrities that’s been on RAW in the last couple of years. Good to see Daniel Bryan getting more promo time tonight with The Authority. I’m excited to see the Daniel Bryan and Kane match. Good outing for Batista who shine tonight with his attack on Alberto Del Rio. Like seeing Batista being the big destructive monster instead the casual jacked up guy thats talk each time he comes out.

The John Cena and Randy Orton match wasn’t that bad either even though the fans in Los Angeles were trying to get their selves over. Overall a fun night on RAW which was needed on this road to the Elimination Chamber. Also congratulations to Lita who will be in the WWE Hall of Fame this year joining the Ultimate Warrior and Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

JPOV: Very entertaining edition of SmackDown tonight. I really enjoy the matches tonight besides the Bray Wyatt/Goldust match and divas match. Daniel Bryan look very strong tonight with his match with Antonio Cesaro plus his promo earlier in the night with Kane. Those thinking this is going to be a throw away match with Kane and Bryan well I have to disagree these guys have history with each other and they had good matches in the past i.e. SummerSlam 2012. I enjoyed the promos from The Shield and The Wyatts. The Sheamus and Ryback match came as a surprise to me, but they delivered and I really hope these guys face each other again in the future. Christian and Randy Orton match was what I expected to be, but I wasn’t disappointed I’m happy that while Orton is in this Authority Gaunlet he is not losing every match before the PPV.
