Gina Carano to be Featured on E:60 Tonight
The News - Mixed Martial Arts  |   Written by Adam Samons   |   Tuesday, 13 May 2008
Tonight at 7:00 ESPN will air a feature on Gina Carano on their E:60 program. MMAJunkie.com says that the feature will include interviews with her parents and fellow female mixed martial artists Shayna Baszler and Tara LaRosa.

It’s good to see EliteXC starting to get some media coverage with their big CBS debut fast approaching. Hopefully the show can pick up more buzz as it gets closer. I’d imagine ticket sales haven’t been that great since you can still purchase front row seats from Ticketmaster, though they’ll set you back $1,003 a piece.

Because I believe more Gina Carano is always better than less Gina Carano I’ll end the post with an interview done with Gina before one of her previous fights.

Kurt Angle Seriously Injured; Sacrifice Main Event Changed
The News - Wrestling  |   Written by Greg Atkins   |   Monday, 12 May 2008
Any rumors swirling around the internet have been made official as of 8:00PM this evening. PWI Insider's Mike Johnson reports that to start off Sacrifice, the fans were informed that while wrestling in Korea, Kurt Angle suffered three cracked vertebrae and two herniated discs.

While Angle stated he competed in the olympics and headlined WrestleMania with a broken neck and could do it again, the fact is, he is not 25 anymore and must follow his doctor's orders. Mike Tenay and Don West then announced that Jim Cornette would have an announcement involving the Main Event later on in the show.

And sure enough, before the "much anticipated" (note the sarcasm) Terror Dome X-Division match, Cornette announced that not only would the winner of the match recieve a future X-Division Title match against Petey Williams, but they would also take Kurt Angle's place in the Main Event against Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner later on that night.

Makes perfect sense, doesn't it? Read full story for spoilers.

Where's the BTR Online Show?
The News - Latest News  |   Written by Brian Fritz   |   Saturday, 10 May 2008

Well, I've had some audio problems at my house. I'm working everything out but that is what there isn't a BTR Online Show with myself and Vito. It should be fixed soon but we probably won't have an online show this week. Yeah, one week in and we already have a preemption. Not good.

However, there is some plenty of new audio for members. There are new interviews with TUF fighters Luke Zachrich and Jeremy May. Plus, you can check out the interview I had with Matt Hardy on Friday. On Monday, I'll have an interview up with Scott Smith who will be fighting Robbie Lawler for Elite XC on their CBS debut on May 31st. Of course, we will be back on the radio Tuesday at 6:00p ET for Between The Ropes with guests Terry Funk and Urijah Faber. I promise we will have a new BTR Online Show next week.

Jason Day Steps in for Leben at UFC 85
The News - Mixed Martial Arts  |   Written by Adam Samons   |   Saturday, 10 May 2008
After Chris Leben’s legal troubles forced him out of his fight with Michael Bisping the UFC has announced that Canadian fighter Jason Day will step up to take on Bisping. Day defeated Alan Belcher in the first round of his last fight which took place at UFC 83.

With so much calamity surrounding this card I think I’m buying into Marshall’s idea that this card is cursed.
