UFC fighter Ben Saunders talks about his upcoming fight against Jared Rollins at UFC 87 on August 7th, why he hasn't fought since December, cutting down to 170lb., being on The Ultimate Fighter last year, Matt Hughes and where his career has gone, trying to win the bonus during his fight, a pair of fights he wants but probably will not happen and more. Great talk with Ben as always!

Rowdy Roddy Piper’s Son Has Successful MMA Debut
The News - Mixed Martial Arts  |   Written by Adam Samons   |   Monday, 30 June 2008
On this week’s Inside MMA they quickly covered the results from the Sportfight show that took place back on June 21st in Portland, Oregon. The most interesting result of the show to me was Colt Toombs, son of Rowdy Roddy Piper, winning his amateur MMA debut at 1:38 of the first round after landing a barrage of punches and kicks. Perhaps Colt inherited some of his talent genetically as his father was an accomplished amateur wrestler and boxer before jumping into pro wrestling at the ripe old age of 16.

This story, combined with the surge of second generation talent we’ve seen recently in WWE, got me wondering what other old school wrestlers could’ve sired promising MMA fighters. I’d have to go with Jake Roberts or Arn Anderson. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section.

Previewing Tonight's Impact
The News - Wrestling  |   Written by Adam Wilcox   |   Thursday, 26 June 2008
Kevin Nash steps into the ring against fellow WCW alumnus Booker T tonight on TNA Impact, which can be seen at 9:00 PM on Spike TV. This match was signed following World Champion Samoa Joe’s confrontation with Nash last week, where Joe challenged Big Sexy to show him that he could defeat the Victory Road number-one contender.

The World X Cup Tournament will also continue, as CMLL stars represent Team Mexico against Team Japan. Other matches confirmed for the broadcast are AJ Styles taking on Consequences Creed in an odd matchup between two babyfaces (Unless - in typical Vince Russo fashion - Creed inexplicably appears tonight acting as if he has been a heel during his entire tenure with the company without any explanation being provided for the turn) and Christian Cage squaring off against Team 3D’s Brother Ray. Karen Angle is also scheduled to appear.
