Here are the results of last night’s TNA Slammiversary PPV:
X Division Champion Petey Williams over Kaz via pinfall following interference from Scott Steiner and Rhaka Kahn. Post-match, Abyss arrived and delivered Black Hole Slams to all three heels.
ODB, Gail Kim, and Roxxi Laveaux over Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Moose (the new name given to Mickie Knuckles) via ODB’s pinfall on Moose.
TNA Tag Team Champions LAX over Team 3D via Homicide’s pinfall on Brother Ray.
Knockout Champion Awesome Kong’s Twenty-five Thousand Dollar Challenge continued, as Kong defeated two “fans” from the stands. The Awesome one first pinned Serena following an Implant Buster and then called out a second girl, Josie. Kong used an Awesome Bomb to put her away after a short brawl. Kong also Awesome Bombed an Elvis Presley impersonator brought out by Eric Young following her victories.
Sonjay Dutt ruined the wedding of SoCal Val and Jay Lethal by professing his love for Val. When she rebuffed him, The Guru proceeded to attack Lethal before being run off by groomsmen Jake Roberts, Koko B. Ware, George Steele, and Kamala.
AJ Styles over Kurt Angle in a terrific match via pinfall following interference from Karen. Kurt’s health was obviously a major issue here, but these two had an excellent outing. Karen teased tossing her husband a steel chair while the referee was injured, but instead kept the object away from, allowing Styles to hit his finisher and get the win.
TNA World Champion Samoa Joe over Christian Cage, Rhino, Robert Roode, and Booker T in a King of the Mountain Match. No heel turn for Special Enforcer Kevin Nash here, who applauded Joe and shook his hand after the bout.
Overall, I thought this was a very good PPV with the Styles-Angle and Kaz-Williams matches standing out.
