WWE released the company’s financial results for the third quarter of 2008 today, reporting a thirty-seven percent loss in profits as compared to the same time frame in 2007. A notable decline is in PPV buyrates, which were significantly down from the previous year.
WWE has also announced that Executive Vice President of Consumer Products Donna Goldsmith will replace Mike Sileck as both Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors.

TNA presents a go-home edition of Impact leading into this weekend’s Turning Point PPV when the show hits the air tonight at 9:00 PM on Spike TV. Headlining the card is a six-man tag team match pitting Main Event Mafia representatives Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, and World Champion Sting against Jay Lethal, Eric Young, and Consequences Creed (Wow - can you say, “Squash”?).
Speaking of the MEM faction, Scott Steiner will receive his official induction into the group after participating in an attack on TNA’s younger generation last week. Executive Shareholder Mick Foley has also requested to speak with AJ Styles three days before The Phenomenal One is scheduled to challenge Sting for the World Title at Turning Point.
In addition, a four-team Ladder Match has been signed featuring Abyss and Matt Morgan, Tanahashi and Volador, LAX, and Team 3D competing for a future shot at the World Tag Team Championships. Roxxi will also join forces with Taylor Wilde to take on Knockout Titleholder Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed.

Dave Scherer of PWInsider.com is reporting Monday’s three-hour edition of Raw as drawing a 3.0 overall rating. While this is a slight increase from the 2.9’s of previous weeks, I would imagine the special’s overall number must come as a disappointment to WWE.
