Mick Foley is scheduled to deliver a final farewell on tonight’s Impact, which takes the air at 9:00 PM on Spike TV. The storyline here is that Foley was signed only to officiate the Jeff Jarrett-Kurt Angle match at Bound For Glory and will now retire from TNA after fulfilling his obligations to the company. This is obviously a swerve of some kind and I expect Angle will confront The Hardcore Legend to set up a match between the two at Turning Point in November.
Also slated for the broadcast is Booker T taking on LAX member Hernandez, X Division Champion Sheik Abdul Bashir teaming up with Sonjay Dutt to oppose The Motor City Machineguns, and Knockouts action featuring Roxxi against Raisha Saeed.
In addition, new World Champion Sting will appear on the show to address his title victory over Samoa Joe at Bound For Glory.

Jim Ross has addressed WWE’s decision to release Lance Cade in his most recent blog entry. According to Ross, the firing was largely due to Cade suffering a seizure on a recent flight and requiring emergency medical care. J.R. stated that Cade had “made a major league mistake while utilizing bad judgment”, so draw your own conclusions there.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Karen Angle has been given her official release from TNA. Mike Tenay briefly touched on Karen’s departure during last week’s Impact, saying that she was stepping down as host of Karen’s Angle to spend more time with her family. Johnson later posted that Johnny Devine has also been let go by the company.
