How Many Times Has Ric Flair Been a World Champion? You Decide
Written by Adam Wilcox
Wednesday, 02 April 2008
Buck Woodward of PWInsider.com has posted a piece breaking down Ric Flair's career World Title history in an attempt to decipher just how many times Flair has claimed a wrestling company’s big strap (based on the article, it would appear that WWE’s proclamation of Flair as a sixteen-time Champion is not even close to accurate).

The post - which can be found at this link - is very informative and well worth a look.

WWE Thwarts TNA During WrestleMania Weekend

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Total Nonstop Action’s plan to fly a company-promoting banner over the Citrus Bowl during WrestleMania was foiled when WWE contacted the plane business TNA had hired and dissuaded them from going through with the job.

WWE also prevented a mobile video truck promoting TNA from remaining outside the Amway Arena during last night’s Raw by refunding the driver’s parking fee.

Among other creative duties, Rhodes will be responsible for writing the weekly FCW television program following its debut on a Tampa CW Network affiliate.

Rhodes had most recently been a member of the ECW booking team.

Further Thoughts on "Ric Flair Night"
Written by Adam Wilcox
Tuesday, 01 April 2008
I just finished watching a replay of last night’s Raw, and thought I’d chime in with a few late personal notes on the Ric Flair tribute:

I enjoyed the Flair career highlights throughout the show and thought they were a great lead-in to the final segment. The Ricky Steamboat match at Wrestle War ‘89 was as good a bout as any to showcase The Nature Boy’s incredible contributions to the wrestling business. I also liked how they made a point to air Shawn Michaels’ interaction with Flair during the 1992 Royal Rumble. Who could have guessed that Michaels would be chosen as his idol’s final opponent sixteen years later? It was also cool when Dusty Rhodes referred to Flair as a “national treasure“. I couldn't agree more.

I realize I’m nit-picking here, but I feel Randy Orton and The Undertaker should have been among those in the ring during the tribute. Just picture the company’s two top champions standing alongside Flair with both the WWE and World Titles draped over each of The Nature Boy’s shoulders. That would have made for a great photo.

As I said, however, this are only small points, and overall I feel WWE paid Flair a fantastic tribute not only last night, but during the entire three-day WrestleMania weekend.
