PWInsider.com‘s Mike Johnson reports that the Playboy pictorial featuring TNA Knockout Traci Brooks planned for this Fall has been cancelled. According to Johnson’s sources, the magazine’s new editor called off the spread, not wishing for Playboy to be associated with professional wrestling. This must be considered a major disappointment for TNA, as Brooks would have been the first non-WWE female wrestler to pose for Playboy, and her current push as part of the Main Event Mafia appeared to have been geared toward getting her over in preparation for the magazine’s release.
Brooks’ photo shoot will instead be included as part of Playboy’s online “Cyber Club” later this month.
