Last night's SmackDown featured World Champion CM Punk in action against Matt Hardy, a fantastic I-C Title bout between Rey Mysterio and John Morrison, and more.

The show began with World Champion CM Punk coming to the ring dressed as Jeff Hardy and boasting about his Steel Cage victory over the former Titleholder (who Punk referred to as “The Charismatic Enabler”) last week. Punk addressed his championship defense against The Undertaker at Breaking Point before being interrupted by Matt Hardy, who brawled with The Straightedge Superstar before officials separated the two. General Manager Teddy Long later booked a Punk-Hardy main event to headline the program.

The Great Khali and Finlay over Mike Knox and Kane via Finlay’s pinfall on Knox.

John Morrison over Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio via pinfall to win the title. Although the outcome here was hardly in doubt, Morrison and Mysterio delivered a tremendous match, which The Friday Night Delight won using his Starship Pain finisher.

Drew McIntyre once again attacked R-Truth before the rapping wrestler’s scheduled match. McIntyre then took the microphone and claimed he would continue to “crash parties” until he received the proper recognition.

Eve Torres and Maria over Layla and Natalya via Eve’s pinfall on Layla.

World Champion CM Punk wrestled Matt Hardy to a no-contest in a non-title match following interference by The Undertaker. Punk assaulted Matt with a chair on the outside (which for whatever reason did not constitute a DQ in the eyes of the referee) before wrapping the steel around Hardy’s head. Before Punk could inflict further damage, however, the lights in the arena went out. Upon the power returning, The Undertaker stood in front of his Breaking Point opponent and chokeslammed Punk through an announce table.
