Last night's post-No Surrender Impact featured three title matches, continued friction between the Main Event Mafia and World Elite factions, and more.

The show began with Kurt Angle - accompanied by the Main Event Mafia - addressing the crowd inside the Impact Zone. Angle stated that Matt Morgan screwed him out of the TNA Title at No Surrender and announced a match between himself and Morgan for Bound For Glory. The World Elite interrupted, with Eric Young reminding Kurt that he rescued him from a Hernandez Border Toss at the PPV. Booker T got in Young‘s face, but Angle moderated and agreed to team with the foreign faction leader in an attempt to take out Hernandez later in the show.

Suicide over D’Angelo Dinero via pinfall in a Street Fight. These two delivered another great match, but this feud has felt far too rushed, especially with both men punishing their bodies so severely when wrestling each other.

Rhino wrestled Brother Devon to a double-countout. Post-match, the pair continued to brawl until Brother Ray arrived to play peacemaker. Rhino feigned unity with Team 3D, only to blindside Ray with a Gore.

New TNA Champion AJ Styles came to the ring in celebration of his title victory at No Surrender. Styles put over the win as his first TNA World Championship (I suppose that is technically true, but it seems silly to me for the company to essentially sweep AJ’s NWA Title reigns under the rug). Styles called Sting to the ring and thanked The Icon for his role in The Phenomenal One’s PPV triumph. Sting downplayed his involvement in AJ’s victory, but the TNA kingpin assured his mentor that he was well aware of what Sting had sacrificed for him. Styles offered The Stinger a World Title match at Bound For Glory, and the legend accepted.

Knockouts Tag Team Champions Taylor Wilde and Sarita over Knockouts Champion ODB and Tara via pinfall on ODB. Tara left her partner alone in favor of a brawl with Awesome Kong, leading to the challengers’ loss. ODB and Tara argued afterward.

X Division Champion Samoa Joe over Homicide and Daniels in a three-way match via submission on Homicide.

Matt Morgan and Hernandez over Kurt Angle and Eric Young via Morgan’s pinfall on Young. The Blueprint offered to team with Hernandez during an earlier backstage segment, and the two powerful babyfaces proceeded to make short work of their opponents after Angle pulled Young into Morgan’s Carbon Footprint finisher. This led to a post-match faceoff between the MEM and World Elite.

Bobby Lashley over Jethro Holliday via submission.

World Tag Team Champions Booker T and Scott Steiner over Abyss and Mick Foley via Booker’s pinfall on Abyss. Foley turned on The Monster here with a double underhook DDT, and the heels capitalized to retain their titles. Afterward, Foley nailed Abyss in the head with a videotape which The Hardcore Legend claimed showed the masked man destroying his prized cartoon portrait of Foley and Jeremy Borash. JB arrived and attempted to calm down the Executive Shareholder, but Foley retrieved a barbed wire baseball bat from the announce table and struck Abyss in the head. Certainly an intense closing to the show, but I find the reasoning for Foley’s beatdown (Abyss broke his caricature?) pretty ridiculous.
