Last night's SmackDown included Batista vs. The Big Show, World Champion CM Punk taking on The Undertaker in a huge main event, and more.
The show opened with World Champion CM Punk addressing the crowd with another of his pro-straightedge promos. Punk demanded to know who the next challenger to his title would be, and this was answered by a group of druids bringing a coffin to ringside. Punk, obviously expecting The Undertaker to be inside of the casket, tore open the lid to find General Manager Teddy Long bound and gagged instead. Long informed Punk that not only would he defend the World Championship against ‘Taker at Hell in the Cell, but also announced a match between the two for later in the night.

Vince McMahon came to the ring and hyped next week’s tenth anniversary episode of SmackDown before introducing Drew McIntyre, who the Chairman put over strong as a future WWE Champion. However, McIntyre would be interrupted by the target of his numerous attacks in recent weeks, R-Truth, who arrived and proceeded to brawl with the British grappler.
