This episode of Smackdown features a colossal tag team main event with Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs. The Brothers of Destruction Kane and The Undertaker. There’s also a 2 out of 3 falls match for the Intercontinental Championship that pits Champ John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler. All this plus a whole lot more.

Batista vs. Matt Hardy
Matt gets some offense in, but mostly, it’s just a Batista beat down. Endgame: Batista hits 3 Batista-bombs for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Batista.
Post-match, a replay of last weeks contract signing, and a backstage Batista interview with Josh Matthews. He says he will have no remorse on Rey this Sunday at the Survivor Series PPV.
In Teddy Long’s office, Vickie Guerrero and Eric Esssssscobarrrrr talk to Teddy about still being on probation. He orders them out of his office. They are interrupted by Mr. McMahon. He denies coming up with the idea of reuniting the Brothers of Destruction. He makes Vickie a special consultant to Smackdown. She shrieks…. A LOT!
Drew McIntyre vs. Finlay
Pre-match, Drew cuts and in-ring promo on Finlay. Finlay gets in some kicks and punches early, but this just sets up Drew for a thumb to the eye. Endgame: Drew hits Finlay with a double-underhook DDT for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Drew McIntyre.
CM Punk is in the ring with a table that has 3 upside down buckets emblazoned with giant red X’s on them, and a garbage can. He says the crowd is sick and helpless. He performs a “straight-edge” intervention with the crowd. He wants the crowd to admit that they’re all addicts. He uncovers a bucket to reveal a carton of smokes, opens it and throws away the cigarettes. He shows the contents of another bucket to reveal a bottle of prescription drugs. He opens the bottle and empties the pills into the garbage can. He then goes to the third bucket to reveal a bottle of whiskey. He opens it and empties it into the garbage can, and I die a little inside. R Truth then enters and he tells Punk what the truth is. He kicks the can into Punk’s nuts, then DDT’s him. Truth then pours the contents of the garbage can onto a fallen Punk, and nails him with the can.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Intercontinental Champion John Morrison in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the title
Fall 1: Ziggler blocks Starship Pain, but Morrison hits a schoolboy rollup for the 1-2-3. Fall 2: Ziggler hits a Zig-Zag for the 1-2-3. Fall 3: Morrison hits Starship Pain for the 1-2-3. Your winner and still Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison.
Mickie James vs. Layla in a Divas match
Mickie makes quick work of Layla here. Endgame. Mickie hits Layla with a rollup bridge for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Mickie James. Post-match, Layla has a mic and she tosses to a video package on the Titan-tron where Michelle McCool calls Mickie “Piggy James”, and there are pictures of Mickie’s face Photo-shopped over a pigs body…. Hilarious. Mickie leaves the ring crying.
Rey Mysterio vs. Tyson Kidd
Batista joins Stryker and Grisham on commentary. Dave doesn’t say anything as the match goes on. Tyson looks good here, but with Batista ringside, it’s only inevitable until he gets involved. Endgame: Kidd is outside of the ring, Batista shoves him aside, and the bell rings. Your winner as a result of a disqualification, Tyson Kidd.
Post-match: Rey hits a seated senton on Dave, he gives chase into the ring, and Rey runs right over him. Rey then retreats, and he and Dave share a stare down from across the arena.
Backstage, Chris Jericho and Big Show argue over who is and who isn’t worried about the Brothers of Destruction.
Unified Tag Team Champions Jeri-Show vs. The Brothers of Destruction in a non-title match
In a surprising move, Taker and Kane enter together. Both teams do a fair amount of tagging in and out. Endgame: The BOD seems to have the upper hand, but Show choke slams Taker, and Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Show, and leaves the ring. He grabs the World Heavyweight Title belt, walks abruptly up the ramp and proclaims, “This is mine!”. Your winners…. ?????
