Every match on this episode of Raw features an Elimination Chamber PPV qualifying match including John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels, and The Big Show vs. Kofi Kingston. Also, Bret Hart calls out Mr. McMahon. All this, plus a whole lot more.

Tonight, we emanate from beautiful Nashville, Tennessee.

We begin with 2010 Royal Rumble winner Edge cutting an in-ring promo. He runs down Chris Jericho for thanking him at the Slammy’s for getting hurt. Edge says that motivated him to train hard, and come back in time for the Rumble, so he can win it, and headline Wrestlemania. He asks would it be smart to challenge a guy who’s 17-0 at WM, or a guy who’s never competed there? Would it be smart to decide tonight, or wait to see who’s champion after The Elimination Chamber PPV? He’s interrupted by the WWE Champ Sheamus. Edge calls him the “Evil Ronald McDonald.” (HA!) Sheamus says he’s going to walk out of the EC PPV as WWE Champion. He tells Edge to go back to Smackdown. Edge, of course, declines. Sheamus hits him with the mic and forearm shivers him. As he goes for the kick to the head, Edge drops him and rains down punches. Edge then proceeds to spear the big Irishman.

John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
Rhodes tries everything he can to get a pinfall, but it’s not his night. Endgame: Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, John Cena.

Backstage, Mr. McMahon tells Josh Matthews he won’t see Bret Hart tonight, because he doubts very seriously, he‘s going to show up. He walks into his office where he and tonight’s special guest host William Shatner share a moment. Shatner says he can’t wait for Bret Hart to embarrass Vince tonight.

Jack Swagger vs. HHH in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
Swagger shocks the world by beating HHH cleanly in under 3 minutes! Just seeing if you’re paying attention. While Swagger does get in his fare share of offense, he eventually succumbs to HHH. Endgame: HHH hits the Pedigree for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, HHH.

DX shares a moment in the locker room. HBK is still bummed about not winning the Rumble. HHH gives Shawn a pep talk for his match tonight.

Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
Very good PPV quality match here. Surprisingly very short though. Endgame: After a short back and forth of each other teasing their finishers, both men are on the canvas. Shawn tries is patented nip up, Orton catches him in mid-air and rolls him up for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Randy Orton. Post-match, HBK pitches a fit in the ring, and storms out.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton share a moment. Ted is sorry, and Randy is stoic.

Mark Henry vs. Ted DiBiase in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
DiBiase uses speed and strategy against the WSM, ramming the big fella’s arm into the ring post, and a drop toe hold into the steps. This injures Mark just enough for Ted to take advantage. Endgame: DiBiase hits an arm breaker for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Ted DiBiase.

RIP Jack Brisco.

Backstage Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim and Maryse share a moment. Maryse freaks the other two out by being nice.

In Shatner’s office, Big Show and Miz share a moment. They are interrupted by CM Punk, Luke Gallows, and Serena. The two teams start to talk when they are interrupted by William Shatner, and accompanying “Raw Match Negotiator” graphic and theme music. The Straight Edge Society says they deserve a title match, Miz and Show say they deserve one. Captain Kirk makes a triple threat match for next week, “you two, vs. you two” vs. DX for the Unified Tag Team titles.

Backstage, HHH tries to console HBK after his loss.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Big Show in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.
The Miz joins King and Cole on commentary. He gets in Kofi’s face after Show throws him out of the ring. MVP jumps through the crowd and chases him away from ringside. Sloppy series of moves from Kofi as he tries a dropkick from the top rope, and almost falls off. Endgame: Kofi accidentally pokes Show in the eye. Show swings wildly and punches the ref, knocking him out. Another ref comes to the ring, and calls for the bell. Your winner as a result of a disqualification, Kofi Kingston.

We learn that next week’s special guest host will be NASCAR’S own, Carl Edwards.

In the ring, King brings out William Shatner. Awkward moment as he trips while coming into the ring, and landing on top of King. Can’t really tell if that was a work or not. Shat then introduces Bret Hart. He comes to the ring, and calls out Vince McMahon. Vinny says he doesn’t regret a thing he’s ever done to Bret. Hitman says that’s the first honest thing he’s ever said. Bret then goes on to run down Vince in a genuine rant. He says he wants to kick Vince’s ass right here, right now. McMahon: “The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be. What a crock! You’re not a hero in Canada or the US.” Vince goes on to say that Bret has no charisma, no personality, and no command of the English language. He insults his appearance. Vince then says that Stu Hart wont be inducted in the Hall of Fame because he doesn’t deserve it. This enrages Bret who pulls Vince’s jacket over his head and pummels him with fists, hockey-fight style. Just as Vince falls, and Bret is about to put him in the Sharpshooter (after throwing Vince’s own shoe at him!), Batista shows up and delivers a beat-down to Bret. Batista holds down Bret while Vince gives him a verbal thrashing. Vince then spits in Bret’s face.

Fade to black, good night from Nashville.
