This episode of Smackdown features a one-on-one match between The Big Show and Edge. There’s also a Triple Threat match to determine who’ll face Show-Miz at Wrestlemania. And Rey Mysterio takes on Luke Gallows. All this, plus a whole lot more.

Tonight we emanate from beautiful Wichita, Kansas.

We begin with Edge cutting an in-ring promo. He says Chris Jericho will get speared at Wrestlemania. He goads the crowd into saying spear about a 100 times. He gets interrupted by The Big Show. Edge makes a poop joke. He then fakes a spear, and Show gets two for flinching. He charges at Edge, who pulls the top rope down, and Show takes a tumble outside the ring.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Teddy Long share a moment. Teddy tells us that Mr. McMahon has expunged Drew’s loss against Kane last week, and Drew gets another Money in the Bank qualifying match.

Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
Matt is nursing bruised ribs, and has some discoloration in the area. Drew takes advantage, and is in control for most of the match. Endgame: After Drew tries a Future Shock DDT, Matt reverses it, and tries a Twist of Fate. Drew reverses THAT, and tries a bridge. Matt reverses THAT and gets a pinfall for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Matt Hardy. Post-match, Drew freaks out and yells at Striker, “I swear to God, I will be at Wrestlemania.”

Backstage, John Morrison and Slam Master J compare abs. R-Truth joins the fun, and hugs it out with Morrison. He has his NXT rookie David Otunga with him. David and Truth are cool with each other. Truth and Morrison try out nicknames for their tag team.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Dolph Ziggler.
Good back and forth match between these two Money in the Bank Ladder Match entrants. Endgame: Shelton catapults Ziggler into the turnbuckle. Dazed, he gets dropped by Shelton’s Paydirt for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Shelton Benjamin.

Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Ezekiel Jackson.
Quick match. Jimmy does his best against the big man, but this isn’t his night. Endgame: Yang tries cross body block from the top rope, but Zeke catches him and drops him with The Book of Ezekiel for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Ezekiel Jackson.

Backstage, Tiffany is going to baby-sit Rey Mysterio’s little girl, while he wrestles in a match.

Rey Mysterio vs. Luke Gallows.
Pre-match, CM Punk yells at the crowd, and insults parents of fans of Rey Mysterio. He offers words of encouragement to Gallows in the ring. The match itself is your typical big man vs. little man match. Rey takes a lot of abuse, and eventually makes a comeback. Endgame: After an attempted distraction by the SES, Gallows tries to get Rey up for the Gallows Poll, but Rey reverses it and rolls him up for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Rey Mysterio. Post-match, Punk tries to get Rey in the GTS, but Rey gets out of it, and escapes the ring.

Backstage, Big Show and Chris Jericho share a moment. Jericho tries to encourage him, but Show just yells at him. As Show leaves, Jericho whispers, “go get him Show.”

John Morrison and R-Truth vs. The Hart Dynasty vs. Cryme Tyme in a Triple Threat Tag team match.
Winner here gets a shot at Show-Miz at Wrestlemania. Lots of tags between the three teams. Impressive move of the match: DH Smith gives three belly-to-belly (which Striker calls belly-to-back) suplexes to Morrison, holding onto him the whole time. Endgame: Truth hits the Lie Detector on Tyson Kidd for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, R-Truth and John Morrison.

Backstage, Michelle McCool and Layla thank Vickie Guerrero for helping McCool beat Mickie James last week, and give her a “simply flawless” tank top. They are interrupted by Beth Phoenix. She wants a title shot. Vickie warns tells Beth that she doesn’t intimidate her.

The Big Show vs. Edge.
Impressive showing by both guys. Endgame: Show attempts a Chokeslam, but Edge reverses it into a wicked DDT. He then nails Show with a spear for the 1-2-3. Your winner as a result of a pinfall, Edge. Post-match, Jericho tries to ruin Edge’s celebration, but gets a spear for his troubles. Crowd and Edge then say spear about a 100 times. Striker quotes Rush, “Though his mind is not for rent, don’t put him down as arrogant.” (Nice).

Fade to black, good night from Wichita.
