After what appeared to be a double-heel/babyface turn involving The Big Show and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Monday night on Raw, the two seemingly reverted to their original roles at the birth of the program. Mayweather received the majority of the crowd support and thanked everyone involved for the opportunity to be a part of WM. Show, meanwhile, was described as arrogant and promised to "slap the skin" off of "Money". WWE.com was quick to point out the apparent character reversals.

Also present at the conference were WWE Diva Candice Michelle and current Playboy cover girl Maria, as well as Edge and Triple H, who promoted their WWE and World Title matches at the big event.
