Kid Kash Makes MMA Debut; Continues Wrestler to MMA Trend
The News - Mixed Martial Arts  |   Written by Greg Atkins   |   Tuesday, 25 March 2008
No more dog collars for this guy. Formerely known as Mr. Total Nonstop Attitude, former ECW Television Champion and NWA Tag Team Champion, Kid Kash, made his Mixed Martial Arts debut for the Premier Sports Group out of Frankfurt, Kentucky this past Friday.

Kash was said to look "really good", according to Mike Johnson of Pro Wrestling Insider, in a losing effort via one point in the three round Main Event of the show against Bryan Brown.

Here's footage from the bout featuring Kid Kash vs. Bryan Brown courtesy of Duane Smith.

This seems to be a popular trend as of late. In the late 90's, more MMA fighters were making the jump to pro wrestling. The likes of Tank Abbott, Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn all found moderate success.

After the recent performance of Brock Lesnar against Frank Mir at UFC 81, Bobby Lashley too has expressed interest in getting into and training for MMA. Could he debut in the UFC alongside Lesnar?

And of course, who can forget about Kurt Angle's upcoming exhibition bout against Randy Couture? If you ask me, it's really exciting and interesting to see if some of the professional wrestlers are as tough as they appear to be in a wrestling ring. With Lesnar and Kash both holding their own respectively, it'll be interesting to see if Angle, and eventually Lashley, can do the same.

Um, I can't even tell which one Kid Kash is. If he still had the long hair, that would have helped
