New UFC 85 Main Event

In a frantic effort to help what looked to be a sinking PPV, UFC annouced today the instead of the scheduled bout between Rashad Evans and James Irvin headlining the event it will now instead be a middleweight bout between former champion Matt Hughes and Thiago Alves.

The bout between Chris Leben and Michael Bisbing has also been officially added, definitely playing on Bisbing's star power in the U.K. This now brings the number of fights on the card to thirteen.

The UFC website also as interviews with both main event fighters as they both attempt to climb the middleweight ladder. UFC 85 is scheduled to take place Saturday June 7 and will air live in North America at 3 PM ET\Noon PT.

To me, Leben vs. Bisping is the main event of this show. 
 
The casual fan doesn't know who Alves is and Hughes has overstayed his welcome.  
 
That said, should be a decent show.
