PWInsider's Mike Johnson is reporting that a week following his former Tag Team partners' huge win in the King of the Ring tournament, veteran British grappler Dave Taylor has been released from his WWE contract. Taylor was last seen briefly teaming with Drew McIntyre on SmackDown before both dissapeared from television for quite some time. Taylor's been known to travel to all of the WWE developmental territories to assist in training. Don't be surprised to see more cuts like this in the coming weeks. WWE tends to always do a little spring cleaning of their talent roster following WrestleMania. Last week, they released three developmental talents from their contracts at Florida Championship Wrestling.
I, personally, hope to god there's no chance of WWE performing a spring cleaning much like they did in 2005 that featured the cut of almost 20 main roster performers such as Billy Gunn, Rhyno, Matt Hardy and others.
