Chris Leben Turns Himeself in on Probation Violation

UFC Middleweight contender Chris Leben has turned himself to authorities in Clackamas County near Portland, OR for violating his probation. Sherdog is reporting that a bench warrant was issued by a judge in the county after he failed to meet certain requirements of his probation before relocating to Hawaii last year.

Leben's probation was based on an old DUI in Portland. According to ICON promoter T. Jay Thompson, where Leben was training in Hawaii, stated that he was in the process of competing classes for the probation when he made the move. He is being held without bail, his next hearing is scheduled for May 8 in Clackamas County, OR. According to the sheriff's office he admirably turned himself in after knowingly violating his probation. This may ave been in an effort to eased the process to get a visa to fight on the UFC 85 show in London against Michael Bisbing in June.

No word on what, if any effect, this will have on the UFC 85 event.
