Posted by: chris schoon at 05-11-2008 19:38 Here are some thoughts of another friend of mine and my own from the ROH livejournal community where I am the admin. him - Oh and anyone claiming that Danielson and Marafuji was a let down needs glasses. I sat in the balcony and still managed to see a great solid match. Maybe not the MOTY candidate it could have been but really a lot of these people's expectations are ludicrous. They attend these shows with their little note pads, and I've seen a lot of this type of fan over the years, and I'm sure they're just analyzing everything and ending it with a "*" to seem cool. I likely sound like a "robot" but a lot of what I've read elsewhere.. the complaints are just stupid. "Danielson didn't throw enough elbows" or "Nigel shouldn't chain wrestle"... I duno it just bothers me. me - I hear ya man. Some of these jaded ROH fans are really expecting a lot or something to change within ROH and obviously have either not understood what ROH has been and still is trying to change about how wrestling is presented. A heel champion, that actually wrestles well is probably the one thing that WWE would kill for though I will say Orton has upped his game so much. TNA has Kurt if they would only utilize him in a decent manner though I heard that he is now a striking 200 lbs and man.... Angle vs Danielson isn't so far fetched now. Posted by: Carl Sinclair at 05-12-2008 12:48 Dunno sounds like Angle might be 'done' this time after the newest injury. If I was him I would just throw in the towel. Posted by: Greg Patterson at 05-13-2008 03:23 Drove up for the Manassas show and had a blast. I couldn't understand why any wrestling fan could be critical of that show, and it was much less stacked (on paper anyway) than the New York show. Second best wresling show I've ever been to (1st was an ROH show in Philly back in 2003-a 4 hour drive certainly beat a 9 hour drive). Besides his awesome wrestling, I thought American Dragon had much more charisma live than I've seen on DVD or PPV. The NRC and the Noah guys were also very entertaining as well as being fantastic wrestlers. Write Comment
