TNA World Champion Samoa Joe announced Rhino, Christian Cage, AJ Styles, and Booker T as his selections to participate in the KOTM qualifiers. Kevin Nash expressed his unhappiness at not being included in the bout and told Joe that he would not allow their “machine” to break down before exiting the ring.

Kurt Angle welcomed his wife Karen back to the Impact Zone and told her they could work out their marital problems provided she remembered that the TNA Title will always be the number-one priority in his life. Karen became very upset and told her husband she wanted a divorce, saying that their relationship could never work due to Kurt’s inability to change as a person. The Olympian got down on his knees and promised to become a better spouse, but Karen left the ring without another word as Kurt continued begging for a second chance.

AJ Styles squared off against Booker T in the main event with a KOTM spot on the line. After Tomko - who had agreed to part ways with Styles earlier in the evening - assisted Team 3D’s newest ally in scoring the win, he joined Booker, Brother Ray, and Brother Devon in a four-on-one assault on AJ. Karen was chased away as she attempted to assist her battered and bloodied friend, but soon reappeared with a steel-chair brandishing Kurt Angle. Kurt kept the heels at bay for a short time until his outrage over Karen’s concern for Styles drove him to level The Phenomenal One with a brutal chair shot to the head. The broadcast concluded with Kurt clutching AJ’s crimson head while Team 3D held back Karen.

In other news, Knockout Champion Awesome Kong dominated and defeated a fan from the stands in a Twenty-five Thousand Dollar Challenge Match and Robert Roode qualified for KOTM with a victory over Matt Morgan.

I loved the ending of this show, but the post-match beatdown of AJ Styles could have been trimmed by a few minutes to allow Styles and Booker T more in-ring time. Nonetheless - regardless of whether it is Tomko or Kurt Angle who oppose Styles at the PPV - I am hopeful that TNA can capitalize on what has the potential to be a very hot angle.
