Triple H To SmackDown!; The Pick Heard 'Round The World!
The News - Wrestling  |   Written by Greg Atkins   |   Tuesday, 24 June 2008
After weeks of rumors circulating the net of John Cena's supposed "imminent" switch to SmackDown, the world was damn near in shock when the final draft pick for SmackDown of the night revealed that it would be current WWE Champion, Triple H, heading to the long-time cursed "B-Show" of the WWE. Dave Scherer of Pro Wrestling Insider reports that the internal feeling inside of the RAW locker room is that many hope Trips doesn't soon get magically "traded back" to RAW, especially if there's some sort of supplemental draft.

As we all remember, Triple H was on SmackDown briefly after the draft in 2002 before being traded to RAW at Vengeance 2002, and again he was on SmackDown for the 2004 draft, but never even showed, as he was traded for Booker T. & The Dudley Boys. The feeling inside the locker room is one of relief, almost, as many feel if Triple H can stay away from the RAW brand, it will open up many opportunities for other superstars to come into the Main Event scene, especially for one CM Punk, who was just drafted to RAW last night. Some of the guys feel that as long as he's on RAW, he will continue to be in the Main Event and top tier of the roster being that he is the most over, and the most powerful, man in the company.

Another rumor circulating right now is that The Undertaker will indeed be switching to RAW in a few weeks upon his return. Many reporters are claiming that there's been backstage heat between Triple H and Undertaker for years, both being the two most powerful wrestlers in the company. The Undertaker hasn't been as heavily "feared" in the locker room when it comes to politicking as Triple H, but never say never.

If HHH winds up back on RAW, I bet it'll be in a trade for CM Punk.
