Previewing TNA Victory Road

TNA presents Victory Road tonight, live from the Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas. The event features a solid lineup of action, as well as a hometown hero competing in the main event.

Houston native Booker T will headline the show when he challenges Samoa Joe for the TNA World Championship. This should be a great in-ring match and possibly the culmination of the Kevin Nash turn. The question is whether or not TNA will use Nash interference here to build toward a semi-main event match with Joe or keep the title as part of that feud. Personally, I feel the former option is more sensible, as a Nash-Joe World Championship match on PPV seems like a rather hard sell.

The World X Cup Tournament finals will take place at the PPV, as Team International, Team TNA, Team Japan, and Team Mexico square off in two point-scored matches, the first being a third round twelve-man elimination encounter before contesting Round Four in an Ultimate X bout (I assume only the team captains will participate here).

Victory Road will also host two other title matches, as LAX defend the Tag Team belts against Beer Money Inc. in a Fan’s Revenge Match, while Knockout Champion Taylor Wilde places her newly-won strap on the line when she takes on former Titleholder Awesome Kong.

Here is the complete lineup for tonight’s Victory Road PPV:

Samoa Joe vs. Booker T for the TNA World Championship

LAX vs. Beer Money Inc. in a Fan’s Revenge Match for the TNA Tag Team Titles

AJ Styles, Christian Cage, and Rhino vs. Team 3D and Kurt Angle (Fans Pick The Stipulation)

Team International vs. Team TNA vs. Team Mexico vs. Team Japan in Rounds Three (twelve-man elimination tag team match) and Four (Ultimate X Match) of the World X Cup Tournament

Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt

Taylor Wilde vs. Awesome Kong for the TNA Knockout Title

Gail Kim vs. Angelina Love

After watching the last two episodes of Impact I am not purchasing this PPV and wasting my money.

All the outcomes are too easy to predict and nothing really catched my eye other then Joe & Booker T.

TNA needs to really buckle down and get this boat afloat. Now is the time to get TNA to the next level with WWE in a transition stage.
