| Cena Out Two to Four Months Following Successful Neck Surgery |

Former WWE Champion John Cena underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck on Tuesday afternoon. The operation - performed by Dr. Joseph Maroon, Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - was deemed a success by both Maroon and WWE physician Chris Amann. It was originally feared that Cena would require neck fusion surgery, possibly keeping the Doctor of Thugonomics on the shelf for up to an entire year. This procedure is expected to sideline Cena for two to four months. Cena was backstage at Tuesday’s Smackdown television taping visiting with WWE wrestlers just hours following his operation.
