| Foley and TNA Reach Agreement |

Page 1 of 2 Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter reported yesterday that hardcore legend Mick Foley has agreed to a deal with TNA and will debut after his WWE contract expires on September 1. Spike TV apparently assisted with the arrangement and it is possible that Foley will be involved in other Spike ventures in addition to his role on the wrestling program.
It is worth noting that TNA just finished three weeks worth of television tapings, so Foley’s debut with the company could be delayed until at least mid-September.
Posted by: David Busby at 08-28-2008 13:06 The only way this works is if Mick has some sort of creative control...what do you think? Posted by: Adam Wilcox at 08-28-2008 13:24 I would have to agree there. A Foley signing may spark initial interest, but it won't mean a whole lot in the long-term if he is not handled correctly (See Sting, Kurt Angle, etc.). Posted by: ANBU at 08-28-2008 13:49 I think he's just coming back to get his mask back from Abyss. Posted by: Adam's an idiot at 08-28-2008 14:15 Adam-wtf are you talking about Angle and Sting not handled correctly? I think they both have always been at or near the main event every time. You are completely clueless son, please quit spouting your ignorance here. Posted by: Hip O' Crit at 08-28-2008 14:53 This is a bit hypocritical of BTR to post this story after ragging on PWInsider in the radio show on Tuesday for mentioning it. "How could it be? He can't talk, he's under contract. Who is the source?" Way to go guys. Posted by: Devin at 08-28-2008 15:48 I Think Mick Foley Will Be A Great Addition To TNA. Posted by: Davo at 08-28-2008 15:55 Vince, you're an idiot for letting him go. You should've kept your mouth shut and stayed out of the guy's headset Fat chance. Posted by: Rusty at 08-28-2008 17:09 I'll believe it when I see it. There are so many Rumors in wrestling. It's pretty foolish of TNA to let this out of the bag and not keeping it a secret like they did with Kurt Angle Posted by: Joseph Cunningham at 08-28-2008 17:12 I'll agree with Rusty. If he's under contract, surely it's illegal to agree to terms of another company. But everyone will have to admit that Kurt Angle isn't a big a star now as he was when he left WWE. Same with Booker. That said, Christian's a bigger star now. Foley can only do good for TNA. I hope they let him in on the creative side. Posted by: Jeremy at 08-28-2008 17:31 He should've went there a couple of years ago to begin with. His impact would have been more than it would be now. |
